Ideas for Translation Agencies to survive Recession

Translation agencies work for their clients day and night to provide them with good translated projects. Today, there are many translation agencies in the market and the competition has doubled. On top of it, recession has led to job cut down too. In such a case, trusted and popular translation agencies are falling short of resources while they still have a hell lot of work to manage from their firm. In this case, the translation agencies may have to spend oodles of money on professional translation tools as well as rely on electronic in place of manual translation. However, this is hardly possible seeing the global economic melt down.
To survive this global economic melt down or recession as you may like to call it, the translation agencies can always depend upon free translation tools available in the market to carry out their work. Trust me on that, these free translation tools work totally free of cost, they charge nothing for their translation services, are extremely user friendly so you don’t even have to spend your money on training your employees for using these free online translation services, they are very close to accuracy in their translations etc. All these qualities make these free online translation services a great option for the various translation agencies in this time of recession.
When the translation companies would begin using free online translation services like Google Translate or Yahoo Babel Fish translation, they will definitely have an edge over other translation agencies in this time of global economic recession. There would be almost nil scope of expenditure for these companies except for the salary of their employees. Even job cutting would not affect the work in their case and they will be able to come out escaped from the recession trap.
In addition, when your translation agency would completely adopt itself to free online translation tools, you will realize that it has suddenly become easier for you to adjust with the falling economic condition. It is strange but true that using free online tools can marginally reduce your expenditure and will make survival suddenly comfortable. As it is, the translation business is on a rise and more and more people are hiring translation agencies for various projects, this business has a lot of money. Since people want their work to reach out to more and more people all around the world, this translation business has become popular in very less time. And when this translation business would have no expenditure at all, you would realize that the profits are roaring.
Thus, it is not difficult to make money in the translation business even in this time of global recession. More over, if you have a translation agency of yours, you will have no problems at all in generating revenue out to this business. A small work force, their decent salary arrangement, links with a few free online translation web sites and a bit of hard work will take you, where you could not have imagined yourself in view of this business of translation.

Jan 04, 10 at 5:58 amOuch…are you suggesting us to use Machine Translation to save cost? Do you tell your client about it? Or should we just let them assume that we are doing human translation? And how about confidentiallity issue? Is it okay to upload those client’s highly confidential document to Google’s, or whatever the machine is, memory?

Jan 05, 10 at 5:56 pmI think we are also seeing some signs of recovery from the Economic Recession. Of course, we have no idea of how long it will take to completely recover, but some say it’s going to be longer than for the other recessions in decades. I also scanned an article yesterday that said business owners need a new set of tactics to do well during recovery.
